NVIDIA L33T Fans Contest
Grand Prize: Best Customer Ever! — Damian Howard, Bayonne, NJ
NVIDIA is the only graphics card company in my opinion. Competition? There is none.

Since my first days of computing one thing has remained constant: NVIDIA graphics and sound. Sound, you say? Yep, my first experience with an NVIDIA product was with a Diamond Edge3D featuring graphics and sound processing, plus the ability to play Sega Saturn games. Needless to say, I've been hooked ever since.

My second card was the STB Velocity 128; those were the days…. rivazone to keep me updated and MotoRacer to keep me occupied. With the natural progression of games and hardware came
the Canopus Pure3D TNT based card and the first time I took an FPS game seriously, Unreal. Hours were spent playing that game and my video card never let me down. I upgraded to a TNT2 to keep myself on the cutting edge and ahead of the curve.

When I heard the news about the first generation GeForce cards, I had to have one. I bought a Guillemot 3D Prophet as soon as it came out, and boy was I pleased. Unreal Tournament, my game of choice at the time, never looked so good…. bright colors and smooth game play. That card was a true champion in every respect, never showing any signs of distress, even in the most demanding situations. Keeping with the flow of technology, I upgraded to a Geforce2 mx400. This card also kept up the trend of my NVIDIA products being rock solid performers and true values. Even though I was extremely tempted to buy Geforce3 Ti, I held off and went with a Visiontek XtasyGeForce4 MX440. This card held me until the Ti bug bit and I couldn't hold out any longer. I went with a PNY Verto Geforce4 Ti4200 64.

My game of choice these days is Unreal Tournament 2003, and just like the opening screen says, this is “the way it's meant to be played.” I firmly believe it. To this day I've never had a card failure or any out of the ordinary problems. I push my rigs to the max and expect the components I buy to be durable, easy to use, and affordable. NVIDIA has been there for me over the years, and even in the face of their toughest critics, I'll stand by their products. As long as I'm able to build and use PCs, they'll have NVIDIA video and chipsets in them. That’s why I'm the number one NVIDIA fan, and your best customer.
